You want your kayak to be fast, agile, and dynamic on edge, yet forgiving, stable, easy to boof, and great for surfing? And, of course, ultralight but indestructible? Then we have to disappoint you. As much as we’d love to invent the "jack of all trades," building a boat involves compromises. Cartwheels in a sea kayak are just as unrealistic as multi-day expeditions in a playboat. However, if you are looking for a whitewater kayak you can rely on at your physical limits—or one that paves the way for you to get there—the Full House is exactly the right choice.

Looking at modern whitewater kayaks, one thing stands out: increasingly extreme rocker profiles. We also wanted to develop a boat that literally keeps you "on top of the water" instead of forcing you to fight your way through features. The problem: the larger the rocker, the slower and less stable the kayak becomes. The equation "length equals speed" refers to the waterline, not the total length. That waterline gets shorter when the kick starts early. To achieve a balance between speed, maneuverability, and rocker, we stretched the Full House to a length of 284 cm. It sounds long, but it corresponds to the waterline of a much shorter boat with less rocker. The result is a kayak that effortlessly glides over curlers and holes, reaching impressive speeds in whitewater.

The Full House is a boat for heavy whitewater and offers plenty of reserves even under high water pressure. This requires a stable platform—an area in the hull that sits more or less flat in the water. An extreme example of primary stability would be a shoebox with 90-degree vertical walls. Unfortunately, you couldn't steer such a craft... The width of 70 cm allows us to round the sidewalls of the Full House so that it is less susceptible to lateral water and easy to put on edge. This ensures you keep the upper hand even in complex cataracts with many consecutive moves. Distinct edges in the hull provide tracking and stability.

Black Jack, Starfire, Queen of Hearts: In the past, we deliberately developed boats for smaller and lighter paddlers, focusing on dynamic fun. The Full House intentionally follows a different concept: with 360 liters of volume, it stays on top even with a heavy load in the biggest features, providing immense security. The idea isn't new; high-volume kayaks existed 20 years ago. But what distinguishes the Full House from the "corks" of the past? Despite its generous dimensions, it doesn’t feel oversized or sluggish. The secret lies in the volume distribution. The total length gave us the room to design a modern stern without compromise. It’s not "slicy," but narrow enough to engage the edge easily and lift the bow effortlessly. The balanced tail rocker gives the Full House high "skip-ability"—after drops and holes, the tail doesn't get sucked down but instead pushes reliably forward.

Make no mistake, the Full House is a big boat, not a playboat for radical maneuvers on easy water. However, it isn't exclusively for the "big guys." The cockpit and knee area are designed in signature Spade Kayaks style to stay out of the way of smaller paddlers. We know that whitewater ambitions aren't a matter of gender, age, or testosterone levels. ;-
